š How I Produced High-Quality Content On a (Very) Complex Topic + How AI Helped
I used AI as a second brain to make a complex topic actionable for SEO professionals.
Hi friends š
Letās be honest: most people donāt know how to forecast SEO growth. (Or even that itās possible).
And I get it. It sounds complex, statistical, and⦠kind of intimidating.
But if youāre doing content marketing and you donāt know what kind of traffic or results to expect, itās really hard to prioritize work, make a business case, or talk to stakeholders confidently.
Thatās why I wrote this:
This guide walks you through:
Two realistic methods to forecast SEO traffic
How to use Google Search Console data to make predictions
A free spreadsheet you can plug your own site data into and forecast results in minutes
The writing and production process took months (and yes, it was challenging), but it was totally worth it. I wanted this to be a piece of content people could actually use.
And to me, thatās what makes content high-quality.
Itās not about being long. Or overly clever.
Itās about being genuinely useful ā answering real questions, removing confusion, and giving the reader the confidence to take the next step.
For this article, that meant:
Breaking down complex concepts without dumbing them down
Creating a process readers could follow, not just understand
Offering a tool (the spreadsheet) that makes it easier to take action right away
When someone finishes reading a piece of content and feels like they know what to do next, thatās a win. Thatās what I aim for in every article I write.
š¤ AI Use Case: When I needed help simplifying the complex
This article was one of the more technical ones Iāve worked on. SEO forecasting involves statistical models, traffic projections, and multiple moving parts.
So I used ChatGPT as a thinking partner.
Not to write the article, but to help me simplify dense explanations and test how clearly I was explaining things. Iād paste in a section or model and ask:
āDoes this make sense to someone whoās never forecasted SEO before?ā
āCan you help me explain this in a clearer, step-by-step way?ā
Sometimes you just need a second brain to talk to and for me, AI fills that role when Iām writing solo.
Thatās it from backstage this week.
Let me know if you check out the article or if forecasting is something your teamās been working on too. Iād love to hear how youāre approaching it.
See you next Friday,
Kate š
