🔎 Search Has Changed. Has Your Content?
People aren’t just searching on Google anymore — search is everywhere now. This is how to keep showing up.
Hi friends 👋
Yesterday, I was a guest on a podcast and one question really made me stop and think:
👉 “Is SEO dead?”
Here’s my take:
No — SEO isn’t dead.
But it is shifting.
Mainly in two ways:
1️⃣ Google isn’t the only place people search anymore. People now go to other platforms too. Like TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit to find answers, ideas, and recommendations.
2️⃣ Searches are getting longer and more specific. Instead of typing “email marketing,” people search VERY specific questions like “how to write a welcome email for a handmade jewelry store”.
How to optimize your content for the new search era
With people searching in more places and asking more specific questions, your goal is to make your content:
Findable across multiple channels. Repurpose your core ideas into platform-specific formats for TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and anywhere else your audience looks.
The “go-to” answer for niche questions. Solve specific problems in detail so people find value in your content — and AI is more likely to cite it.
Structured. Formulate your content in a way that answers your audience’s exact questions.
Built on your unique perspective. Share your own data, case studies, and personal insights — the things AI can’t replicate, but would cite in its outputs.
This “search everywhere” approach is now my top tip for businesses doing content marketing. It increases your chances of discovery and makes your brand easy to remember.
