💫 Want Better Content? Show, Don’t Tell

Real brand examples, a content tip I use weekly, and 15 ideas you can steal.

Hi friends 👋

This week’s update is a little late, but still packed with something useful.

I just submitted a new piece about ad intelligence tools. To be honest, nothing blew me away while working on it.

The tools are solid, but they felt more “functional” than exciting. After all, it’s amazing to be able to track your competitors’ digital ads to inspire your own advertising strategy.

But! A few weeks ago I promised to share a different piece once it went live — and today’s the day.

👉 My article on small business marketing ideas is officially up!

This was one of the more fun (and time-consuming) articles I’ve worked on recently.

Not just because I had to list 15 ideas, but because I wanted every single one to feel real, up-to-date, and doable.

So I:

  • ✅ Researched real brand examples across social media

  • ✅ Turned each idea into a mini how-to guide

  • ✅ Focused on marketing strategies that actually work in 2025

Whether you’re a startup founder, a solopreneur, or just looking for creative inspo, you’ll find something in there you can apply.

Content tip of the week: Use examples as a clarity tool, not just a flex

When I add examples to an article, I do it because examples anchor the idea.

They answer the question,

👉 “But what does that look like in the real world?”

It’s one thing to tell someone, “Try a referral program.”

It’s another to show how a local hair salon did it with $0 in ad spend and got booked out.

So, if you’re writing how-to or strategy content, don’t stop at the “tip.”

Add the example. It’s what makes your insight stick.

That’s it from me this week.

See you next Friday,

Kate 🌟
